Day 3: Droomkerke to Brussels – Into the Heart of the Capital
Today’s journey took us from the peaceful village of Droomkerke into the vibrant heart of Brussels. Frank Dekker and I began the day cycling through the beautiful Flemish countryside, enjoying the flat, green fields and quaint villages along the way.
With the wind behind us again we soon found ourselves cranking through the km’s and we can’t quite believe how lucky we have been with the weather.
As we approached Brussels, the landscape shifted, and the city's energy welcomed us. Riding past landmarks like the Atomium and the European Parliament, we felt the significance of our mission in this hub of European politics and culture especially on the last day of voting….
Arriving at our stop for the night, we felt a mix of exhaustion and excitement. Brussels has embraced us, and we are ready to meet our friends and colleagues at Solar Power Europe for our next ‘meet up’.
