2024 Recap - Day 4

Day 4: Brussels to Tongeren – Battling the Elements

The ride today with Frank Dekker was a real test of our resilience. After a motivating coffee meetup with our friends at SolarPower Europe, we set off from their offices into relentless rain and wind. Huge thanks to Walburga Hemetsberger, Dries Acke, Kristina Thoring and all the team for making us feel so welcome! And always great to hang with my amazing friend Pia Alina Lange from Trina. 

The weather was unforgiving, and the day brought its share of challenges: two punctures, one crash, and over two hours sheltering from the torrential rain. It was a very tough and long day to be cycling, but our commitment to the Journey to Zero kept us going (only just)! 

Despite the conditions we pushed through and arrived in Tongeren, wet and exhausted but proud. Each day brings new challenges, but with them, a renewed sense of purpose.
