2025 Recap - Day 5

It’s day 5 of our Journey to 0 from Saint-Memmie to the gorgeous Nancy. 

Today was a journey inward as well as forward. The ride threw some seriously steep hills our way (1,107m elevation gain) and I spent a lot of time cycling solo (which is v cool with me) just me, the road, and the latest episode of the Rich Roll podcast on navigating midlife and finding new purpose. 

It was inspiring and strangely fitting. As the gradients got tougher, the message hit home: growth often happens when you’re out of your comfort zone, when the path (or road) is steep, and when you're willing to keep pushing forward, even alone, great things can happen. 

Our journey to net zero is about technology, innovation, and collective action, but it’s also deeply personal. It's about resilience, change, and constantly challenging ourselves, if you know better. Do better. 

Another tough but beautiful day; we roll (see what I did there) onwards to Saverne tomorrow and new challenges.
