It’s been a great day on the road for our 7th peddle; arriving in Selestat via Strasbourg and officially halfway on our journey to zero! (and Munich).

Today’s ride was full of milestones. We passed through Strasbourg, with a quick stop at the European Parliament; a reminder of the vital role policy plays in driving the energy transition. We even crossed briefly into Germany (about 400m!) before returning to France and rolling into the beautiful town of Selestat.

This marks the halfway point of our ride and momentum is building, both on the road and in the conversations we’re having about clean energy, climate and collaboration.

We also welcome a new rider joining us for a few days, welcome Christiaan Daniels and also we have a new support team; welcome Paul Xifaras and Shan Xifaras. This obviously means we sadly say goodbye to the amazing Marleen Dekker-Hansum who has looked after us so well. You will be missed!

Tomorrow (Thursday) we plan to make a pit stop in Basel. If you’re in or near Basel, a few of us will be stopping for a well-earned beer tomorrow afternoon between 3–4pm. If you’re in the industry and fancy a drink and a chat, drop me a message — we’d love to see some friendly faces.

The same for Monday and Munich. Around 1pm…. Come on LinkedIn contacts. Do your thing.

See you on the road…
